My Boss is a few inches longer than my short bed standard cab Ram.

Or maybe the Mustang is too big also!

I’m kinda missing my old beat up fox body right now.

Well not really the Boss is a blast but she is a big heavy thing compared to all my older hot rods.

The mustang is too big for a vehicle with its backseat. I've always said this. But they wouldn't be able to achieve the aggressive look and retro feel without the sheer size of that thing

That’s my point too. Just ditch the back seat or embrace the fact that it’s useless and shrink it even more.

The fox body is also a great example of: this thing doesn’t need to be this big. It’s all aesthetics.

I do wonder/hope that when the “classic” ram goes away they at least show us a regular cab of the new generation.  Because soon they might not build small trucks.

When the new heavy duty comes out they'll build the "new" Ram regular cab. Current HD trucks are based off the classic. They'll most likely never get rid of the regular cab if they want to brag about towing capacity.

Still no short box though.    I still think its wild that FCA (the  gladiator too) is dropping the regular cab from light duty trucks.

They don’t anymore. Trucks aren’t small. They’re ‘*small’ now. Like how Mercury is smaller than Jupiter but both are still gigantic.

The regular cab/short bed life is a good one, and as you point out, my F-150 takes up no more space in the garage than the 2016 Mustang.

Honestly, I think the Gladi is best off in a 4-door form currently . That’s where the market is, and it’s reasonably more practical than a Wrangler 4-door. I’m pretty sure that most of a Gladi’s extra cost comes from the “premium truck” price point, but the marketing will make it seem like it’s the best damn thing on the planet, and people will buy it.
